On 10 December each year since 1948 when the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the world has been celebrating human rights day.
Similarly, the Legal and Human Rights Centre has been making use of the day to call for respect, protection and promotion of human rights in Tanzania.
In this year, LHRC has organized an event that will gather stakeholders and activists to celebrate their contribution in protection and promotion of human rights in the country. Together with celebrating human rights the event is expected to be a forum for reflection of the current situation of human rights in Tanzania and ponder the way forward.
The Chairperson of the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG), Hon. Bahame Tom Nyanduga is expected to grace the event as a guest of honor.
