The Finance and Administration department consists of two components namely finance and administration. Duties Administration1. Advise the management to design and execute services which foster sustainable improvement of the Center’s workforce; 2. To direct the management on improvement of occupational safety and health at workplace; 3. Counsel the executive on ways to maximize use of talents and skills of personnel available at the Centre; 4. Draft and supervise formation and performance of personnel policies; 5. Supervise, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the personnel system
Finance1. Oversee all financial matters of the Centre including but not limited to sourcing, spending and reporting of finances; 2. Supervise the Center’s planning and budget preparation process; 3. Make sure that adequate and effective mechanism exist at the Centre to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports including: Monthly reports Quarterly reports Donor reports Annual reports 4. Ensure proper identification and maintenance of accounting records in respect of all receipts and payments; 5. Maintain proper and up-to-date accounts books 6. Ensure application of up-to-date accounting controls and procedures; 7. Make recommendations to ensure sufficient funds are available to implement planned activities; and 8. Supervise mechanism and hence protect the Center’s assets while at the same time scrutinizing on better means to that effect. The Director of Finance and Administration heads the department with support from two immediate assistants, namely the Chief Accountant and Human Resources Officer .
